The September 2024 Brimfield Show went by in a flash! What a successful, fun and energizing week! This time we took our new travel trailer to the show and the awesome owners at Brimfield Auction Acres let us camp in our spot for the show!

Brimfield is made up of about 21 different fields and shows all along Route 20 in Brimfield Massachusetts. Brimfield Auction Acres holds two shows through out the week. A one day show on the Tuesday of Brimfield Week and another on Friday/Saturday.
Sean drove up Monday and got settled on the field for the opening on Tuesday. The weather this week was beyond spectacular- not the typical tumultuous weather Brimfield is known for! The show went all day on Tuesday with constant foot traffic and too many sales to count! I drove up on Wednesday afternoon with a whole new load of goods to sell across the street at the May's Antiques Field on Thursday. It was so nice to be able to "sleep in" and travel only a couple of second across the street to Mays.
Mays is a "shot gun" start type of market- you are not allowed to set up your items until the 9am church bell rings and the crowds come rushing through the gate. May's feels that this way all of the merchandise is fresh and new and the dealers on the field have not picked over and purchased the best items. It's a frantic first 45 minutes- unpacking and selling at the same time but it always worth it!
The Mays show slows down around 3 and back over to Auction Acres we went to get ready for the Friday/Saturday show. At this show there were a lot more retail customers but there were a lot of people in shopping the rows! Two days of exhausting selling there and we were done! I headed home on Saturday and Sean followed Sunday.

Our poodle Murphy had such a great time greeting each and every person who entered our booth and everyone was so kind to give him a scratch and a pat.- and in one case a piece of their hot dog......

Auction Acres truly is a wonderful field to be on! The owners couldn't be nicer, the bathrooms are cleaned often, the field is immaculate and the bonus of the winery and afternoon live music was the icing on the cake!
Trends I noticed while walking the Brimfield Antique Flea Market fields:
There was a lot less mid century modern goods - in the past there were many multiples of booths with exclusive MCM goods. There seemed to be booths with a mix of MCM and other eras.

Vintage clothing still seem to be a large emerging dominating
trend. From curated booths of vintage fashion to dealer who just throw piles of clothing down for buyers to pick through.
Jewelry, Silver and Gold continue to draw people in. From fine gems to vintage bakelite to finding a piece of sterling out of a pile to dig through!
